Erasmus+ for Academics and Staff from Partner Countries (Australia, Canada,Thailand, Israel)

Following the successful grant application for Erasmus+ for Partner Countries, LMU Munich has funding available for faculty/staff mobility from the partner institution to LMU.

Program duration: 01.08.2016 – 30.06.2018

Faculty/Staff from Thailand

Chulalongkorn University, Thammasat University

 Travel grant: 1,100 Euros

Living expenses: 120 Euros/day for the first two weeks, then 84 Euros/day

Faculty/Staff from Israel

Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv University, Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya

 Travel grant: 360 Euros

Living expenses: 120 Euros/day for the first two weeks, then 84 Euros/day

University of Sydney, University of Melbourne, University of Queensland
Travel grant: 1,100 Euros

Faculty Mobility with Teaching Assignment (STA):

Duration: 1 – 2 weeks

Teaching assignment: 8 hours per week

Eligible: Faculty employed by the partner institution

Faculty/Staff Mobility Training (STT):

The teaching assignment for faculty can be waived if the main purpose of the stay at LMU Munich is to explore possibilities for further development of the cooperation between our institutions. A work program needs to be prepared for the application.

Duration: 1 – 2 weeks

Eligible: Faculty and administrative staff employed by the partner institution

Application Procedure:

  • Contact the professor at LMU, you are working with or you would like to work with to discuss the possibilities of a teaching assignment or a training mobility at his/her department at LMU.
  • Once you have agreed with your LMU colleague upon the teaching/ working program and about the dates when you will come to Munich, please inform Susanne Rößler (susanne.roessler@lmu.de) for Thailand and Israel or Dr. Harald David (harald.david@lmu.de) and they will inform you about the necessary documents.
  • Application Deadline: 2 months before the start of the mobility

Documents to be submitted before the Mobility:

  • Erasmus+ Mobility Agreement (signed by you and a representative of your university)
  • Erasmus+ Grant Agreement (signed by you and the International Office of LMU)

Documents to be submitted after the mobility:

  • Confirmation of the mobility period (signed by the LMU professor)
  • Online-survey
